What does "Amish Quality" mean?

Pennsylvania and Ohio Amish craftsmen have long been known for their wood working skills, attention to detail, and ensuring that products made are ones that will last a lifetime. Quality workmanship is a value that is never compromised. Unlike furniture you may purchase at the local furniture store, manufactured with low cost and mass quantity in mind, Amish quality utilizes the finest hardwoods, sustainably harvested in Ohio and Pennsylvania. After harvesting, the logs are taken to a local sawmill for cutting and debarking. After completion, the hardwood boards are then taken to a kiln for drying (moisture removal). Once complete, the hardwood is now ready for hand craftsmanship. Unlike “big box” stores, pieces are not made via production lines, and never are veneers, plywood, or wood substitutes ever used. “Amish Quality” items are hand fitted, sanded, and assembled, and finished, piece by piece. When we state that our 100% American hardwood coat racks, serving trays, charcuterie boards, desks, tables, and furniture products are “made the old-fashioned way”, that is exactly what we mean. “Amish Quality” inherently suggests that these products are made to last a lifetime and will heirlooms to pass along to your next generation of family members.
